Our Advanced Technologies group is seeking an Embedded Software / Electrical Engineer with the ability and experience to write and code software from high level user applications to low level embedded applications. You will be an active part of a multi-disciplinary team working on projects that span a wide range of research projects encompassing commercial, military and medical technologies. Innovation and technical problem solving will be a major part of your position.



  • 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent; MS a plus
  • 8 years overall experience with 4 years of embedded experience.
  • Hands on experience in prototype hardware bring up and debugging.
  • Experience with system architecture design.


  • Experience with small, low-power embedded platforms and secure microcontrollers (MSP430, PIC, ARM Cortex M)
  • Experience developing application software for Windows, Linux and LabVIEW environments.
  • Signal processing experience for commercial, medical or military applications.
  • Experience with other programming languages (C, C++, Python, perl, Tcl, etc.)
  • Familiarity with wireless technologies (WiFi, ZigBee, Bluetooth, etc.)
  • Familiarity with common communications protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, RS-232)
  • Experience with FPGAs (Xilinx, Altera, Lattice, Microsemi)
  • High degree of comfort working on early phase research projects.
  • Ability to read schematics.
